Loneliness...

This one is a HUGE statue...i think bigger than me and im 1.70 cm!!

Its placed in the cemetery n-1 of Valparaiso (my home town) in a hill full of cemeteries (At least three and they re the oldest of the city)

The cemetery where this statue is placed is the oldest and it was inagurated in 1822. I have a 1870s pic of it and it was awesome and behind was placed a chapel who doesnt exist now.

This place has a sad story ....


in 1906 my city suffered an awful earthquake and part of the cemetery fell down , graves, caskets and corpses included and some families had to deal with all of it in their backyards and even inside their homes!

Joaquin Edward Bello, a commentarist and famnous personality of that era said :

"A family was having their dinner and suddlendly one of the corpses who fell from the cemetery appeared sitted on the table with the rest of the horrifyed people"

Creepy!!!

And , before i finish...one of the coolest stuff of this place is that we have the chance to have night walks thru it for just some bucks. Someday i will take the chance to get that tour and i will tell you all how is it
